ARTISTIC LOCALISM

In surfing, localism is restrictive. It confines and tarnishes the libertarian spirit of this art of gliding, founded on simplicity and friendship. It goes against our intrinsic values of sharing and communion.

Values that are deeply ingrained in our hearts and that guide each of our decisions. Meeting, exchanging, welcoming... These are the verbs we cherish! They give meaning to our watchmaking adventure, rich in discoveries and emotions, the starting point for our creations.

Over time, through our encounters, we have chosen to highlight artists who inspire us, giving them free rein to share their vision of Los Angeles and Biarritz. Because our duty, born of our own desire, lies in showcasing these talented creators who often reveal their inner selves through the tones of their film, the depth of their paintings, and the finesse of their writing...

While our brand's raison d'être is indeed to add a modest stone to the grand edifice of watchmaking, our social mission is to bring to light hidden young artists who carry messages of sincere and moving beauty. Artists from Biarritz, because, in our view, localism should be a window onto the world…

GREEN CARD TO ROMANE LOUISE

A native of the Arcachon Basin, Romane Louise draws all her inspiration from her childhood surroundings. Between graphic design and art schools, Romane quickly found her niche, opting for illustration, which came about after a revelation during her life drawing classes.

Growing up in very colorful worlds dominated by feminine and libertine forms, with sometimes provocative and committed themes, Romane was discovered in Paris and began signing advertising campaigns and editorial collaborations reflecting her playful and committed style.

Heavily influenced during her studies in Paris by consumer society, more generally the fashion industry and the "sacralization" of the image of women in magazines, she quickly felt the need to deconstruct the flow of anxiety-inducing information and images in which we live on a daily basis.

Romane then began humorously intertwining women with everyday objects, completely obliterating the sense of scale between objects and humans, notably through immodest scenes in public places. With her pencils, she crafted an artistic universe inhabited by heroines moving freely between grace and sensuality in an imaginary world where everything is the same size.
