ARTISTIC LOCALISM

Localism limits surfing. It restricts and tarnishes the spirit of freedom inherent with the art of surfing, based on simplicity and friendship. It goes against our intrinsic values of sharing and connecting.

Values which we hold close to our hearts and which rule our decisions. To meet, exchange, greet… These are the verbs we cherish! They give meaning to our watchmaking adventure, abundant in discoveries and emotions, starting points of our creations.

As time and encounters go by, we have shined a light on artists who transcend us, to whom we grant GREEN CARD so that they can share their vision of Los Angeles and Biarritz. As our mission derives from our will, it pushes us to highlight these gifted artists who frequently unveil their intimacy in the grade of their film, the depth of their canvas, the sharpness of their quill…

If the ethos of our brand is to contribute a modest stone to the watchmaking edifice, our mission to society is to encourage young hidden artists carrying messages of a sincere and emotional beauty. Artists from Biarritz, because localism according to us, has to be a window onto the world…

GREEN CARD TO ROMANE LOUISE

Native of the Bassin d'Arcachon, Romane Louise draws all her inspiration from her childhood surroundings. Between graphic design and art schools, Romane quickly finds her niche in illustration, sparked by a revelation during her life drawing classes.

Growing up immersed in vibrant worlds dominated by feminine and libertine forms, sometimes provocative and socially engaged themes, Romane is discovered in Paris and begins to lend her signature to advertising campaigns and editorial collaborations reflecting her playful and committed style.

Heavily influenced during her Parisian studies by consumer society, particularly the fashion industry and the "sacralization" of women's image in magazines, she quickly feels the need to deconstruct the flow of anxiety-inducing information and images in which we are immersed daily.

Romane humorously begins to intertwine women with everyday products, completely nullifying the scale relationship between objects and humans, notably through impudent scenes in public places. With her pencils, she crafts an artistic universe inhabited by heroines moving freely between flexibility and voluptuousness in an imaginary world where everything would be on an equal scale.
